  • LDEI Conference Roundtable Offers Local Solutions to Global Questions According to CNN projections, by 2011 the world population is estimated to reach seven billion people with the largest growth centered in poorer and developing countries. The question is, “How can food supplies be stretched in order to feed them?” Or, better yet, “How can we teach people to make a living growing food for themselves and their families?”
  • Dames were in full force to celebrate Dame Joan Nathan’s new cookbook Dames were in full force to celebrate Dame Joan Nathan's new cookbook, "Quiches, Kugels and Couscous: My Search for Jewish Cooking in France.
  • Highlights from the Palm Springs Les Dames D' Escoffier Convention October 2010 Over 140 Dames from all over the world, including DC Dames Linda Roth Conte, Judy Rusignolo, Ketherine Newell Smith, Phyllis Frucht, CiCI Williamson and Ann Stratte attended a fun-filled and educational event. We shared our Best Practices on fundraising and our Women in Gastronomy was highly regarded. Our newest Chapter is located in LONDON! Mark your calandars for Atlanta, November 3-6, 2011. .
