We are a community of dynamic women leaders in our industry. Our membership includes chefs and restaurateurs; wine and spirits specialists; caterers and private chefs; food policy experts and advocates, historians, and culinary educators; nutritionists; authors, journalists, and public relations specialists; photographers, stylists, and event planners; makers and producers; farmers; hotel and hospitality professionals, and other roles in sectors that encompass the broad and growing culinary and hospitality industries
Membership Requirements
Candidates for membership in Les Dames d’Escoffier Washington, D.C. Regional Chapter must be women who reside or work within the region with at least five years of professional experience and who demonstrate achievement and accomplished stature in the food, beverage, hospitality, and related sectors. Candidates must be dedicated to furthering educational and professional opportunities for women in the industry. Our process carefully considers each application to ensure qualifications are met and the candidate shows a commitment to being an active member of our committee.
The D.C. Regional Chapter encompasses Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
We seek exceptional women to bring their talent, ideas, and energy to the D.C. Regional Chapter. We rely on our members to help our chapter thrive and continue our educational mission by identifying prospective members who will enrich our organization.

Jan-February 2026: Call for Nominations; applications sent
Late February: Zoom Q&A with prospective members
Early March: Membership applications due
Mid-March: In-Person Meet & Greet with applicants
Late March: Prospective Member Committee meets
End of March: Recommendations for new members sent to board for review
Early April: Board votes on new members
Mid-April: New member notifications
